Swavio is a travel planning app that helps people discover activities, build itineraries, collaborate on group trips, export plans, and open ticket or booking links. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following information when you use Swavio:
- Account information, such as your email address, username, authentication identifiers, and sign-in session details.
- Trip planning information, such as destinations, dates, liked or skipped activities, saved itineraries, checklist items, notes, and group-trip choices.
- Collaboration information, such as trip invite codes, member roles, votes, shared checklist status, and edits made within a shared trip.
- Usage and diagnostics information, such as app events, booking-link clicks, activity identifiers, selected destinations, anonymous IDs, timestamps, and basic technical logs.
- Purchase information if paid features are offered, such as product identifiers, subscription status, and transaction status provided by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details.
Maps, Calendar, and Device Features
Swavio uses maps to display destinations and activity locations. The current app is designed around planned places and activity coordinates. If a future version requests your device location, iOS will ask for permission first.
If you choose to export an itinerary to Apple Calendar, Swavio requests write-only calendar permission and creates events for your selected plan. Swavio does not read your existing calendar events.

We use information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Save your trips, preferences, itineraries, group plans, and checklist progress.
- Sync collaboration features between trip members.
- Improve app performance, reliability, and product quality.
- Understand which features and booking links are used.
